“Why should we all use our creative power……?  Because there is nothing that makes people so generous, joyful, lively, bold and compassionate, so indifferent to fighting and the accumulation of objects and money”
Brenda Ueland.

The Nexus Project is a new creative and wellbeing group for women, set up in partnership with the Independence and Wellbeing Team at Portsmouth City Council, and funded through the Tampon Tax Fund.

From Tuesday 7 September, we’ll be meeting weekly at the Buckland United Reformed Church in Portsmouth, but keeping the option of accessing the group via Zoom which is how we’ve been meeting virtually since May 2021.

Creative sessions will include having a go at simple art exercises, music making, macrame, photography – all using materials easily sourced from your home or local environment.

This is a safe space for women to try out simple creative activities using materials you can easily source from the home or outdoors. Enjoy the experience of connecting with others through the live group session, take part in a guided creative activity and boost your sense of wellbeing.
