Portsmouth Mental Health Alliance

– bringing our city together to improve mental health and wellbeing for all

A collaboration of partners working together to improve the mental health and wellbeing of everyone living and working across the city. The partnership involves representatives from local communities including voluntary organisations, healthcare providers and businesses. The Alliance is supported by Portsmouth City Council, Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group and Solent NHS Trust.

Packed with useful information and signposting to local support services, these recorded workshops are ideal for community groups to circulate to their members, or host a showing during a virtual meeting. More are planned for 2021, so watch this space.

Coronavirus and Mental Health  

The first of a series to reach out to communities in Portsmouth, to raise public awareness of the impact of coronavirus on mental health and wellbeing, and share information about where support is available.

HIVE Portsmouth is working with Solent NHS, Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group and Portsmouth City Council, together with organisations across the city, to provide a coordinated community response to protect people as much as possible. Kooth

Kooth digital counselling and emotional wellbeing service is now available for young people in Portsmouth. Offers a free digital counselling and emotional wellbeing service for young people from January 2021.

Switched on Portsmouth

Information and support about pay-as-you-go and prepayment meters for those who are vulnerable and self isolating and those in financial distress.

Portsmouth Coronavirus Support Group

Online group set up on Facebook by the local community to support residents who may be vulnerable or self-isolating due to Coronavirus. Join the Facebook page for reliable information and informal support. Also have local volunteer mutual aid groups across the city offering practical support such as shopping, collection of prescriptions, dog walking etc.

Positive Minds 

Support for Portsmouth residents struggling to cope with emotional difficulties and distress. Wellbeing Advisors are currently operating support via telephone conversations.
