Mental Wealth Trialogue
April 27, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFREE
Mental health is often seen as the domain of service providers, carers and the people who use the mental health services. However, within communities there is a huge diversity of knowledge and experience that can be used to transform the way we discuss and develop our understanding of mental health generally.
During 2015 the Good Mental Health Cooperative hosted three events using a powerful open dialogue and participatory process called ‘Trialogue’ in Hampshire.
The group meeting will start at 6pm, but you’re welcome to come earlier and buy food and refreshments at Le Cafe Parisien before 5.30pm.
‘Trialogue’ groups already exist in many places in Europe and can help communities to change the perception that only those who work in the field of mental health are the experts in mental health.
A ‘Trialogue’ group is a neutral space where communities can gather to develop
Trialogue meetings are welcoming and inclusive of all community members, including mental health service users, carers, families friends, professionals and anyone with an interest in good mental health and wellbeing in the community.their understanding of mental health issues, including the challenges of maintaining good mental health, and to transform thinking on developing better services and healthy communities.
Mental health is everyone’s business, regardless of their background and experience.
